Research and application of heat recovery under low load in a large data center

In the early stage of operation, due to the low load in the data room, China Unicom Harbin Cloud Data Center can not recover heat energy according to the original design, and can only use electric boilers for auxiliary heating, resulting in a significant increase in energy consumption. In view of this problem, this paper analyses the operating data and proposes a solution to modify the pipeline of the refrigeration system without affecting the original design. After the implementation of the renovation plan, the recovery of heat energy under low load in the data room is realized, the energy saving target is achieved, and the operating cost is reduced.
